About me
My career has included more than thirty years of community college leadership experience, managing and coordinating higher education programs and services, including strategic planning, community partnerships, policy development, risk-analysis, compliance, and change leadership. I earned my doctorate in community college leadership from Oregon State University in 2021, the same year I joined the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges as a workforce policy associate. For the past five years, I have primarily focused on advocacy and support for Perkins/CLNA, Career & Technical Education (CTE) Dual Credit, and professional technical program approval, in addition to serving as an agency liaison to government, community, and system partners. After working many years on college campuses, the transition to focusing on system-wide initiatives, policy, and legislative work provided an opportunity to advocate for our colleges, students, and system as we build a stronger and more inclusive workforce in Washington.
