About me
With over two decades of experience in education, coaching, and entrepreneurship, I bring a well-rounded, real-world perspective to everything I do. I spent 23 years teaching high school students, leading courses in English (grades 10–12), Creative Writing, Journalism, Public Speaking, Psychology, Careers in Education (CTE), and Family Health. My passion has always been helping people find their voice, build confidence, and take meaningful steps forward in their lives. Alongside my work in the classroom, I’ve dedicated more than 30 years to coaching wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. For 13 of those years, I owned and operated a martial arts academy, where I coached athletes ranging from beginners to amateur and professional fighters. Academically, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English and Psychology, plus a Master’s Degree in English Education. I am currently continuing my education by pursuing a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, with an expected graduation in late 2027. This ongoing training reflects my commitment to better understanding and supporting others in meaningful, lasting ways.Outside of my professional life, I am a married father of five kids and grandparent of two. I’ve also remodeled three of my own homes, giving me a deep appreciation for hands-on problem solving, persistence, and creating spaces that feel like home.
