About me
Dr. Rachel Larson is a small animal veterinarian by training, but has transitioned away from clinical practice and into education. She is finishing her PhD work in Math and Science Education at Washington State University and has a particular passion for K12/University partnerships and STEM professionals being advocates her careers. She has been working with the WSU Health Science Outreach since 2020 in a variety of formats, but has recently conducted a comprehensive research study about the benefits of longitudinal career exposure. She has also participated in the HOSA state conference for the last three years as a presenter on veterinary medicine. When not doing research, Dr. Larson serves as the Interim Director for Pre-Clerkship Assessment at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine where she oversees the program of assessment in the MD program for the first two curricular years.
