Lisa Neighbours is the Director of Career and Technical Education for the Issaquah School District, where she has spent 15 years working alongside students, teachers, and school communities to make career and college readiness more than just a buzzword. After nearly a decade as a CTE teacher and teacher on special assignment, Lisa stepped into her director role with a clear conviction: that every student deserves intentional, personalized support for life after high school.Over the past five years, Lisa has led a district-wide effort to reimagine college and career centers in Issaquah's comprehensive high schools — building out best practices grounded in data, structured around a tiered support model, and designed to honor the full range of pathways students are pursuing. Her work reflects a deep belief that good systems, built with care, change outcomes for kids.
