About me
After growing up in Moses Lake and moving to Spokane as a first-gen college student, Miranda earned a Bachelors, Masters, and National Board Certification. She became a teacher to provide confidence-building arts experiences for students that might not otherwise have arts access. She spent many years teaching English Language Arts and Dance as a performing art, then seven more years supervising teacher candidates through Eastern Washington University.
During the pandemic, Miranda recognized the tremendous need for lightening the load from educators and empowering education advocates. Now, as ArtsEd Washington’s Executive Director, Miranda uplifts arts education as a vehicle for improving equity in our schools and creating system-wide change!
