About me
Heather Matsuda has been teaching Health Science at Lakes High School for more than 10 years. She is a certified and licensed athletic trainer and a former physical therapist assistant. She was named Certificate Employee of the Year in the Clover Park School District in 2025, Health Science Teacher of the Year in 2023-2024, and WCTSMA Advisor of the Year 2023-2024. She co-authored the Washington state Sports Medicine 1 and Sports Medicine 2 frameworks. She enjoys building relationships with students and helping them find their passion for a chosen career. When she isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling the world, spending time with her furbaby and going to Disneyland.
