About me
Adam Smith been teaching at Spokane Valley Tech in Spokane Valley, WA since 2024 and previously taught at Cheney High School for 26 years. He currently teaches Microsoft Office, Cyber Security, AP CS P, AP CS A, Computer Repair, and Cisco Network Engineering. He is a FBLA Advisor, a Washington State FBLA Regional Adviser, a CyberPatriot coach, a FIRST Robotics coach, and Girls Who Code mentor. He helps organizes Spokane’s STEM Superstar competition in Spokane, works with Eastern Washington University and Spokane Falls CC to run summer cyber security camps, and organizes multiple STEM events for high school and middle school students. Outside of working at SVT, he works with ESD101 to facilitate and serve as a teacher and program director for the Online Professional Learning Academy Plan 2 CTE Certification Program. The OPLA program currently supports over 500 teachers who are working towards a full CTE teaching certificate.
