About me
Matt Mason is entering his 10th year teaching Career and Technical Education at Olympic High School in the Central Kitsap School District, previously teaching seven years at New Market Skills Center. He teaches Visual Communications, Photography, Drones, and Yearbook, and advises the eSports and yearbook programs. He's a hands-on teacher who builds his own classroom tools to solve everyday problems, from a barcode camera-checkout system to a digital hall pass to an AI tutor trained on his own lessons and teaching voice. He's not a programmer by training, and that's exactly the point. He's passionate about showing fellow CTE teachers that building practical, student-focused technology is more within reach than they think. When he's not teaching or tinkering, he's usually behind a camera or helping students find their creative voice.
