Skate Your Way to a Concrete Career
The Skate4Concrete Certification is designed for high school students to build a strong foundation in concrete fundamentals and gain exposure to career opportunities within the high-demand concrete and construction materials industry. Through a hands-on, project-based approach, students learn the science of concrete and its practical application in construction by designing and building a mini concrete skatepark. The certification program is divided into modules. The first set of modules cover key concepts related to concrete materials, mix design, placement, finishing, and curing. The final module requires students to apply what they have learned by engaging in career exploration activities and collaborating in teams to design and construct a mini concrete skatepark (12” x 16”).
